❖ Who are you? From When are you tutoring?
I’m Tania Nigam, a passionate international math educator dedicated to simplifying complex mathematical concepts and making learning an enjoyable journey for students worldwide. With more than a decade of experience teaching mathematics, I specialize in catering to diverse curriculums, including Edexcel, GCSE, IGCSE and IB ensuring that every learner feels confident and equipped to tackle challenges.
❖ Why do you want to be a tutor?
Teaching allows me to share my love for math in a way that’s relatable, interactive, and enjoyable. I take immense pride in witnessing that “aha moment” when a student finally grasps a concept they’ve been struggling with— it’s incredibly rewarding and motivates me to do more.
Being a tutor also enables me to use my creativity to design engaging lessons and leverage modern tools to make learning accessible to a diverse range of students. It’s not just about solving problems; it’s about teaching students how to think critically and develop skills that will benefit them for a lifetime.
❖ What are your greatest strengths in tutoring?
I have personalised approach to learning which enables me to teach each student in the manner that is going to be beneficial for him/her. Having strong communication skills and equipped with all modern technologies along with gadgets, help me teaching students in the most efficient manner. These strengths, combined with my passion for teaching, enable me to guide students toward academic success while instilling a lifelong love for learning.
❖ What are your three important skills for tutoring?
Adaptability
Every student is unique, and I excel at customizing my teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and paces. Whether it’s using visuals, interactive tools, or step-by-step explanations, I ensure my approach aligns with the student’s needs.
Effective Communication:
Clear and engaging communication is vital in tutoring. I break down complex concepts into simple terms, ask open-ended questions, and encourage students to express their doubts freely. This fosters a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
Patience and Empathy:
Learning can be a challenging process, and I bring patience and understanding to every session. I aim to create a positive space where students feel confident to explore, make mistakes, and ultimately grow.
❖ What are your subject areas in tutoring?
I can teach Mathematics up to Senior Secondary levels for all sorts of boards.
❖ Why is your tutoring peculiar?
I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. My tutoring is highly personalized, focusing on each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and unique learning style. This ensures every session is engaging, effective, and impactful.
I cultivate a nurturing atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating small victories. This boosts their confidence and encourages a love for learning. As an international math tutor, I bring a broad understanding of different curriculums and teaching methodologies, enabling me to cater to diverse learners effectively.

My tutoring philosophy is built on the belief that every student has the potential to succeed when given the right guidance, tools, and encouragement. I strive to create a learning environment that is student centric, practical, engaging and interactive simultaneously. At its core, my philosophy is about empowering students to reach their fullest potential while making the learning experience enjoyable and enriching.

Because I break the complex problems into easier to understand steps and also motivate them to do those easier steps on their own, instilling confidence in them in a friendly environment.

I like to draw, sing and playing chess.
