1) Who are you? From When are you tutoring?
My name is Dr. Shivani. I am a dentist, and I have been tutoring students from Grade 5 to Grade 12 in Science, Maths, and English for the past 5 years. I have expertise in the Australian curriculum.

2) Why do you want to be a tutor?
I want to be a tutor because I’m passionate about teaching and enjoy helping students
understand concepts in a clear and practical way. Tutoring allows me to make a positive impact on a student’s academic journey, build their confidence, and help them achieve their goals. It’s incredibly rewarding to see students grow and succeed with the right guidance.
3) What are your greatest strengths in tutoring?
My greatest strengths in tutoring are:

6) Why is your tutoring peculiar?
My tutoring is peculiar because I combine strong academic knowledge with a student-centered approach. As a dentist, I bring real-world examples into Science, making concepts more relatable and engaging. I also personalize each session based on the student's learning style, pace, and goals. My experience with multiple international curricula (AUS, US, CAN) allows me to adapt quickly and provide targeted support. Most importantly, I focus not just on improving grades but on building confidence and independent thinking in my students.

7) What is your tutoring philosophy?
My tutoring philosophy is centered on understanding, not memorization. I believe that when students truly understand the "why "behind a concept, they can apply it confidently in any context. I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes—because that’s how real learning happens. I focus on building strong fundamentals, encouraging critical thinking, and helping students become independent learners who enjoy the learning process.

Students learn from me because I explain concepts clearly, adapt to their learning style, and make lessons engaging and easy to understand.
9) Your hobbies and interests
My hobbies and interests include reading, which helps me stay curious and continuously learn, and playing badminton, which keeps me active and refreshed. Both activities help me maintain a balanced and focused approach to teaching.
