Personal Profile

1) Who are you? From when are you tutoring?
My name is Jay. I’m currently working as a brand manager for a German company. I
completed my undergraduate studies at BITS Pilani and earned my MBA from one of
India’s top 7 institutes(MDI Gurgaon). Alongside my professional journey, I’ve been
tutoring students from Grades 10 to 12 for the past 4 years, specializing in Physics and
Maths.

2) Why do you want to be a tutor?
Teaching allows me to share my passion for problem-solving and logical thinking. I find it
extremely fulfilling to help students overcome their academic challenges and gain
confidence in subjects like Physics and Maths. It’s rewarding to play a role in shaping
their understanding and academic growth.

3) What are your greatest strengths in tutoring?
My greatest strengths include a strong conceptual foundation in both Physics and
Maths, and the ability to explain complex topics in a simple, relatable way. I also create
a structured and supportive environment that encourages students to think critically
and ask questions freely.

4) What are your three important skills for tutoring?
I bring a clear and logical approach to teaching, excellent communication skills to
connect with students, and a result-oriented mindset to help them perform better in
exams while truly understanding the subject.

5) What are your subject areas in tutoring?
I focus on Physics and Maths for Grades 10, 11, and 12. I help students not just learn
formulas or facts, but understand the logic and reasoning behind each topic to prepare
them for both academic success and competitive exams.

6) Why is your tutoring peculiar?
What sets my tutoring apart is the blend of academic excellence and real-world
application. I use my professional and educational background to give students practical
perspectives, especially in Physics and Maths, helping them connect textbook
knowledge to real-life scenarios.

7) What is your tutoring philosophy?
My philosophy is centered around building deep conceptual clarity. I believe that when
students understand the “why” behind a concept, they don’t just memorize—they
internalize. I focus on helping them develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills
that last beyond the classroom.

8) Why do students learn from you?
Students learn from me because I make complex topics feel simple and logical. I tailor
my approach to suit their learning style, ensure they feel comfortable asking questions,
and guide them with both academic insights and exam-oriented strategies.

9) Your hobbies and interests:
In my free time, I enjoy reading, hiking, solving Rubik’s Cube, and playing table tennis.
These hobbies help me stay curious, mentally sharp, and balanced—traits that reflect in
my teaching as well.
